so either he is actually is dumb enough to hire people off the cuff like that.

or he is dumb enough to believe lying about it somehow makes the bad hires better.

that guy was no longer employed by LSU when Pelini was hired in ‘20.

unless you’re trying to throw shade at Woody.

so we can either believe a guy that has made a career of mostly bad hires made a bad hire. very similar to another bad hire he made under a different AD a few years before.

or the AD that is widely respected for landing mostly very good hires (including 2 national title winners here) did.

i wasn’t in the loop, but i can guess which one was more likely.
