Anyone ever play a Bass VI?

My band Maw Maw is playing Carrollton Station next Thursday the 18th and I'm doing my first gig with a Bass VI as my primary instrument.
Been really enjoying the way I can incorporate some extra chordal/rhythmic elements or higher register riffs, in addition to operating like a normal bass guitar like I do here
Anyone have experience on the instrument? Really excited next to try a dual amp situation so I can hard split and EQ to maybe get some grit/wet effects on the higher register through a guitar amp.

I bought one in 2022 because Chicago Music Exchange had a special run in purple.
It's very difficult for me to get used to, due to the string spacing and the distance between the bridge and the tailpiece.
Still cool as hell though...

Is it Squier or Fender proper? Been thinking about getting one but don’t want to lay out a lot of money in case I don’t like it.

A band I really like has a girl playing a Squier bass VI and she really drives the melody of most of their songs. I saw them live a few months ago and started thinking about getting one for myself but haven't pulled the trigger.

I really like them but I've never played one. Lennon played it quite a bit on The White Album, Abbey Road and Let it Be.
