How often do you fertilize and what do you use?

I just started using this stuff this year, Farmer’s Secret Fruit & Bloom Booster 2-15-15. I have an injector hooked up to my drip system and I hook it up every other week. I have it on a slow release setting and it usually takes about 3 waterings to empty the tank. I am happy with the results so far.

In the past I've used Sea Grow Flower and Bloom 4-26-26. That stuff is amazing but the price skyrocketed. Shrinkflation also hit. Used to get a 5 lbs bag for about $30. They don't sell the 5 lbs bag anymore. Now it's a 3 lbs bag for about $40.

Looks like I'm in trouble. My wife has been babying a bunch of lettuce for the last few months. We've been able to eat 2 or 3 salads per week from it. I left her dog out in the backyard while I was mowing the front and he went HAM on them. The plants were spread over the whole back yard. He pulled then up and ate the crunchy bases. She's been out of town at her mom's the last couple of days and gets back this evening. I mulched the leaves with the mower and cleaned the beds up. I probably have two or three days before she notices if I don't tell her.

It wouldn't be a big deal but she told me that if I left him out he'd eat all the lettuce. "I told you so" is incoming.

Do you only use this when things start flowering, or do you do something else before they flower? Do you use any these along with this?
