You say that as if it’s some huge indictment against him. That’s not that long ago.

And he hasn’t had always had the BEST roster.

There is some truth I think to the idea that he’s not the GOAT gameday coach so much as he is the GOAT recruiter plus a good gameday coach.

But that leaves out his ability to maintain discipline and get consistent buy-in year to year from these kids to where playing his teams is always always always a difficult deal. That’s what I think makes him the GOAT coach.

Sorry, but you don’t get to use that excuse if you have had the number 1 or at the very least, a top 3 class for the past 15 years. You can never say you don’t have the best players. If you are saying that THEN you would have to say that Saban is not good at developing his talent?
