Despite the fan outcry, me included, They are going to hold onto Dennis Allen.
Several reasons
He did have a winning season, barely I know, so they will give him a chance
Saints are not an ideal spot right now for a new coach.
Plus the cost to pay Dennis Allen and the BS in interviewing , meeting the Rooney Rule and paying that coach and his new staff would probably be financially better the following year.
That salary cap is hanging like an anchor around their neck, it would be hard to attract any major talent.
The draft picks are not ideal
The Saints already committed to a quarterback, meaning that that's Saints
had at least two years in mind to work with him.
The next Super Bowl is in New Orleans, I know it's highly unlikely with this coach , but crazier things have happened.
I just don't think the owner or Loomis has it in them to do it this year. I think they're going to ride it into next year. Hopefully they'll fix the salary cap a little, and let some of these aging veterans like Jordan and Davis retire next year.
