Well, I have certainly questioned the man enough - so when he gets his team to do something I did not think them capable of - rebound, and against a team that coming in rebounds as well as any in not just the conference but the country, I have to tip my hat

Until last night, McMahon had beaten only one team “not supposed to beat” at LSU (Arkansas last year). So there was an objective basis for the criticism. Tonight LSU went on the road and beat a good team at THEIR own game. This was a not a win because LSU shot lights out. FAR from it.

I said before the game the early conference schedule can sometimes lend itself to unexpected results as the teams adjust to conf play (though it didn’t expect this would be one of those results). The next game presents a really good opportunity for a win for LSU, and winning can build confidence/momentum…particularly for a program that hasn’t had much in 1.5 years.

Overall you tip your hat to McMahon and the team. It’s great to see all of those guys have something to smile about after a game. Hopefully it continues

Abolutely agree - I like the man, want him to succeed but my take has been he has to show me something I can have hope in and those moments have been very few.

Again we agree, rebounding was the reason we won and as IMHO that has been our biggest weakness since CMM has been here a very pleasant surprise.

It does, conversely a loss puts us right back where we were. Vandy just gave Bama all they wanted last night so don't just chalk up the victory.

I hope to see what I've been waiting and hoping for since CMM got here, development and improvement. It's all I've ever asked. There has been very little of it unfortunately. But last night gives me that glimmer of hope I've been waiting for, have to capatilize on it.
