On Big 10 network right now. Mark Brunell, Napoleon Kaufman, Elvis Grbac, Tyrone Wheatley, Amani Toomer.
Washington up 4 at the end of the first half.

Ah yes, Tshimanga.
Wheatley just broke the Rose Bowl record for longest rush with an 88 yard TD.
Answered by a huge run by Kaufman.
And damn, how could I forget Mark Bruener?!

Another NFL product from the poor little borough of Aliquippa, 20 miles west of Pittsburgh.
Tony Dorsett and Mike Ditka also hail from there.

1994 Rose Bowl is better.

I saw a replay of this game not too long ago. In the post-game interview, Gary Moeller’s comments were something like “we’re very pleased to have won the game, and Washington really is a very good team.” They then presented him with the trophy and ended the telecast. Sports media really was a lot less dramatic then.

You'll see his son on the field Monday. He plays LB and is awesome on special teams.

Weirdly, I saw Ohio State play both of those teams in 93. I was 12.
We beat the fuk out of Washington in Columbus. Then went up to Ann Arbor with 10 wins, no losses, and one tie to Wisconsin.
Michigan beat the shite out of us 28-0. My now late dad punched the fuk out of the dashboard on the drive back to Ohio.
Go bucks.

People rib OSU and UM for not accumulating more MNCs over their history but they single-handedly screwed each other out of those opportunities more than any other pair of rivals.
OSU had three teams in the 90s that could've played for a title if not for UM. And the Ten Year War cost '69 OSU and three or four UM teams a shot at the title too.

Napoleon Kaufman
Underrated RB for the Raiders.
He led,the team in rushing yards in 1996, 1997 and 1998. Kaufman led the NFL by averaging 5.8 yards per carry in 1996, and his career average of 4.9 yards per carry ranks among the league's all-time leaders.
He was a freshman on U-Dub's National Championship team and remains the Huskies' career leader with 4,106 rushing yards.

Ricky Watters had 6 consecutive 1000 yard seasons and was also very underrated.
