What they should do at the very least is have games that affect each other played at the same time. Last year having the Lions/Packers play after the Seahawks was ridiculous.

Looked like Warren immediately recovered it and they ripped it from him on the ground but I doubt they can reverse it

Would be cool if the league had the option to schedule 2 late games simultaneously for such a situation

They try to match it up as much as possible. They can't avoid it altogether.
You also have to account for Pacific Time Zone gamed.
