As somebody else points out, talented players who transfer to us are great people, but those with talent who transfer away are deeply flawed.
Business considerations for the player are NIL money, playing time, development from coaching. He can get those things at any one of a dozen or more schools.
I got mad when i heard he was transferring as well, but that is based on purely emotional considerations like loyalty to state and team.
Until we see the terms of his business deal (and with which school), it is too early to say he is not "smart".
