LSU related obviously, b/c if you watched LSU defense all year and then watched Michigan last night - they are in two different planets from each other.

The DBs/ S tackling - I was transported back to early 2000s LSU defense.

Just wow - very impressive. We need that.

Perkins and/or Wingo would be only kids even able to start on that team. Michigan wouldn’t want another soul.

Michigan was so physical yesterday on both sides of the ball.

Looking forward to see what BK brings forth defensively next year.

Well, at least our coaches have some game tape of what actual good tackling technique and angles look like.

This is why if Harbaugh leaves Michigan and Jesse Minter Defensive Coordinator comes available, LSU would be perfect for him and us.

The DBs/ S tackling

There was one play Mich made that stood out to me as lacking in LSU's defense this year.

UM ran a corner blitz and Milroe dumped to the WR at the LOS who was dropped immediatly. When they replayed it you could see the safety sprinting over to cover the WR when the CB broke for backfield and dropped him at the point of catch. That play would have gone for 50 on us this year...

It is pretty concerning that something as simple as tackling fundamentals did not improve a single bit all year long.
That falls on every single defensive coach and the head coach.
As focused on “attention to detail” as BK seems to be, it is very confusing to have serious fundamental issues on defense with little to no improvement all season long.
The head coach may not be as talented of a play caller as a given DC, but I fully expect a head coach to be able to step in and fix fundamental issues when the other coaches aren’t getting the job done.
