I understand. I’m being facetious with my comments. But that is what needs to be legalized to protect both parties. You can’t allow a kid to extort you for more money, and that is what tampering is causing to get there way.

Who's being extorted? The kid gets his money, and once the bowl game invite is accepted the program gets their check. They get paid the same amount whether players opt out or not.
