Yeah we could do things like give the parents a card they can only use for food, or rent assistance, free education. Maybe create some service centers parents can leverage to get help. Perhaps even we invest in agents to check on child welfare under these parents to make sure they're doing right?

Long story short social services are a big reason were tracking this stat and not others. This way more people can have the opportunity to escape poverty. And with some hard work and luck they should be able to escape poverty. Who knew Roger supported and realized such value from our social service programs.

The people tracking this stat are advocating for more social services. Not making the social services we have better.

Does your child not get a balanced meal? (I dont want those vegetables).

Of course anyone would answer yes to these questions. Im amazed "the majority of children in the US" arent hungry.

They survey the kids by asking if they have been hungry in the last week.

It really is the worst form of surveying.

I'm not a fan of this form of government services (providing food for children).
I get it. It is the simplest form of assistance. And who would vote against it with a conscious.

But as a parent or guardian, my first priority is food for my children. Taking away that responsibility has a bigger effect on macrosocietal values. I wish there were better vehicles to give aid and assistance.

This is the inescapable point. There are schools in Missouri where the poverty rates are so high that the lunch contractor (Charter or whoever) provides free breakfast to all the students regardless of economic status.

Know who eats that free breakfast? Everyone. Because it’s there.

We wouldn’t provide animal feeding programs like we provide people feeding programs because we know what it would do to animals. Then we forget that when it comes to humans.

Your government programs helped destroy the black family and create generational poverty.

Free stuff creates dependency, not sufficiency.

You forgot to mention that he is also absolutely correct.

In regards to starving children in the USA, that's absurd. We provide food stamps as well as WICA and free lunch at schools for children.

What ever happened to mothers making lunch for their children and then putting it in a brown bag for their children to take to school?

Oh yeah, I forgot. They used all their children's food money to get a new hairdo this month.

Why don’t you create better parents? You have all day to complain and insult people on here, why not use some of them time to fix the crap you bitch about?

Is that the fault of the children?

Because Leftist idiots stand in the way.

You create better parents by creating a culture of personal responsibility.

You create a sense of responsibility by replacing EGO with pride of accomplishment and bringing back shame.

Liberal Women like you are scared to death by this notion.

Your premise/question is flawed from the beginning.

It operates under the assumption that Democrats want to fix the problem rather than continue to profit from it.

Democrats have no reason to solve a problem they so greatly benefit from....children in this case are simply props, nothing more.

Not one that I’m aware of. Insecure men don’t like that a woman has the audacity to disagree with them so they are claiming I hate white men.

I’m happily married to a straight white man.

That's my point. It's the fault of the mother if a child is really starving and can't get enough to eat.

A good mother should sacrifice something if her child is really starving.

IE, new hairdo, new fingernails, new clothes, new makeup, night out with the girls, drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.

You're just an insecure man who wants to control women....or something like that....

We can declare them bad moms. What about the fathers? Why did you omit them? Is it only a mothers job to make sure her kid(s) have food?

After assigning blame, when should the conversation move to feeding hungry kids?

Some men you might consider insecure just might not want to waste their time arguing with a fool.

I have absolute no interest in your marriage, you brought it into the discussion. I just speak the truth

If I’m supposed to be the fool here, why are these men continuing to insult, attack and argue?

Your little scenario isn’t really applicable here.

If you let some guy you're not married to knock you up, yeah it pretty much is.
