I work in IT and have been using an Android since I switched over from the iphone 4. I'm about to move back to iphone here soon. I don't tinker with my phones as much as I used to and basically just need a phones that works. Another big reason is pictures and videos via text messaging. Majority of my family and friends use Iphones and when they send me videos, its unwatchable its so bad. I know I'll have to update the keyboard and a few other things once I get it as I'm used to the Android keyboard, but overall I'm hoping I won't regret it. I guess we'll see.

Exactly this. I ask very little of my phone. Make calls, text, browse the internet, listen to music, stream video. And that's pretty much it. I don't need that experience to be customized. What I do need is for it to just do what I ask it to do, when I ask it to do it. I practically never restart it outside of restarts to install iOS updates. It practically never crashes. My friends with Androids routinely have them crash and reboot on them. Now, is that some horrible thing that can't be worked around? No, of course not. And if it's giving them some benefit that they can't get with an iPhone, godspeed.

But considering there's nothing I want to do with my phone that I can't easily do with my phone, I can't fathom why I would self select to migrate to a platform that will be less reliable, even if only by a little bit.
