Outdoor Tv/ Audio ?

What does the Tech Board recommend? 1.200 sq feet of covered outdoor space. Looking for TV and sound options. Do it yourself possible? or go professional? Purpose is sporting events (any and all) and general music while outside.

I have a similar setup and live in Louisiana (heat and humidity). I get the size TV that best suits my need outdoors for CHEAP at bestbuy every 5 years or so.
My 1st outdoor TV was a cheap 32inch vizio. It lasted 6 years and cost maybe 150$ after taxes. It died and got another cheap 40inch tv from best buy for about the same price. Now on year 2 of it.
Moral of the story: DO NOT BUY those insane 1000$ plus TV's that are rated for outdoor usage. You can buy a little 15$ amazon cover for TVs and as long as it's not getting soaked from rain, you're good.
As for sound, I'll defer there. A receiver and soundbars/speakers are going to be susceptible to heat and humidity.

As the other guy said, go with a cheap TV and you can replace it every 4-5 years if needed. I have a TCL Roku TV, 2 mounted Def Tech speakers and a cheap Fosi amp for the speakers. Plug the amp into the TV for TV audio, or you can connect your phone to the amp via bluetooth to play music. It's not a super fancy set up, but it was relatively cheap and gets the job done. Definitely something you can DIY if you're the slightest bit handy. I had someone install my speakers and run the speaker wires through the attic just b/c it wasn't something I felt qualified to do, but admittedly, I'm not super handy.

I did it myself, including the wiring, but my patio cover is enclosed with vinyl siding so running the wires was easy. I bought four of these speakers: Polk Audio Speakers - Amazon Link
Two are on the patio, and two are in the outdoor kitchen. They are powered with this stereo receiver:

The receiver is enclosed in a wooden cabinet that I built myself, but you could buy any kind of cabinet to enclose the receiver in, and protect it from the elements, from a big box store. I have had the setup for several years now with no issues, and it sounds great!
