Endowment has about zero to do with if we have money for NIL or anything athletic related.

I would venture to guess any school with a large no alum fan base has a lesser endowment than say A&M where you find almost no side walk fans.

Endowment is more about size of school and what it specializes in than if it has football money.

LSU is probably one of the bigger non alum fan bases around due to how la higher education is setup and it being the only dominant school in the state.

As far as our NIL struggles it’s likely multi factor issue.

1. Our collective does a piss poor job of soliciting money
2. Their is no real incentive to donate to it
3. Scotty and Tate both have zero appetite to bend rules or ignore them. They piss their pants at the thought of negative press
4. I have a feeling BK doesn’t like NIL, he just isn’t as dumb as Dabo to rail against that and the transfer portal.

1 can’t be fixed until number 3 is fixed and has a change of attitude and that won’t happen because 4 isn’t going to really use it or want it.

So we will have Gordon and Canes as the major money push but we will never do like Bama or UGA even though we have the funds we don’t have the stomach to do it.

Baseball is humming along fine in its NIL world because they have a young innovative coach that is driven to win.

LSU does a poor job of funding raising it's average grads and fans. My wife and I both had full academic scholarships to LSU. We have never been contacted about giving.

The collective just had a tiny sad booth on game days. They need to get out there on sports talk radio and get more aggressive on game days. Thousands of $20 to $50 donations will make a difference but most people don't even know about it.
