not really hoping, and don't want a remake, but the other night I got to wondering:
How would you make Smokey and the Bandit today?
Where would he have to go and what would he have to pick up?
There are a shite ton more interstates now, and the National Speed limit of 55 mph no longer exists. So the time he has to make the run would have to be shrunk down a bit.
And bootlegging beer is now basically obsolete.
So would he go to say Colorado and get some pot maybe?
And the CB part would have to be reimagined somehow too (no clue how you would do that part).
rest of the story fits just fine with Frog and Smokey.
