Dems tossed Lincoln off all the southern states’ ballots. And still lost in 1860.

The Colorado Supreme Court looked at the plain language of the 14th Amendment and, as is proper, gave great deference to the trial court’s finding of fact regarding insurrection. I wouldn’t hang my hat on SCOTUS overturning the decision.

Thanks.

When a Pedo like you chimes in, I know that everything you post will end up being dead wrong.

I'm less worried now...

I don’t want to be lectured by your side anymore about our democracy. There’s nothing more un-democratic than a court removing the leading opposition party candidate from the ballot and depriving the people of the ability to cast a vote for that person.

Nice try. It was a clever way of framing the issue by the leftists on the Colorado Supreme Court, but everyone knows this is a pure legal question. The factual findings of the Denver judge won’t matter at SCOTUS. Frankly, we may see a 9-0 reversal from SCOTUS, that’s how absurd a ruling this is.

They are so self righteous and arrogant that Satan himself would blush in their presence. This is psychological projection on a massive scale. There is no evil these people aren't capable of right now.

Prepare yourselves accordingly.

You're totally nuts to support this. Anybody would be regardless if they like Trump or not

To keep a candidate off a ballot for doing something you think he did—something of which he hasn’t been convicted—is one of the most undemocratic things I’ve ever heard.

It’s absurd. Check that … it’s chilling, actually.

Obviously Colorado supreme court bent the facts to fit their agenda. There isn't one scintilla of factual evidence Trump did what they have ruled.

“NAZIS” means something, and while we are not close to being NAZIS, most of this board is a lot closer to being NAZIS than the left is. They are closer to being something much worse…Communists.

But it's worse...they DON'T "THINK" he did what they are accusing him of.

They KNOW they are wrong, but they know the NeverTrump sheep will run with the lie.

1930's Germany all over again.

A finding of fact is not sufficient to deny or abrogate someone's right, and running for office is a right. Qualifications are laid out in the Constitution, and it cannot be taken away without sufficient due process. A court's finding of fact is not sufficient. Not only is the burden of proof not respected, none of this has been properly adversarial, and insurrection is a crime, so there must be a conviction.

Every aspect of this is unconstitutional.

But Trump has not been charged with insurrection or rebellion.

Most legal experts say efforts to disqualify Trump set a troubling precedent that empowers state election officials to unilaterally disqualify future candidates based on their own interpretations of "insurrection or rebellion."

What is happening right now is indefensible in a free society.
