For whatever reason store bought eggs have a much thinner shell and a lighter color yolk. I assume it's crappy feed and the chickens being forced to lay as much as possible.
I get double yolk eggs from a hatchery and the shells are super thick and hard to Crack. They yolks are very dark orange and taste much better. Even if given the chance to hatch I don't think store eggs are capable of producing viable offspring.
