This is one of those games that baker usually plays well in. Not sure why but it seems like the opponent matters more with him than any other player. Most guys will give you 10-15 points no matter who we play. Baker can give you 25 or nothing depending on who we play and this game should have been a 25 point game

I respectfully disagree. If you’re talking about as far as low quality team you are correct, but they sat in zone almost the entire game and Baker is absolutely clueless how to operate in the post against a zone, CMM had tried moving him around some to the FT line and even to the perimeter and he just doesn’t get it. He got several entry passes with great opportunity to make a skip pass to the opposite elbow 3 and pivoted to the baseline instead of to the middle. Moving forward, I expect teams to run a lot of zone on us and he will become less and less effective. It will be addition by subtraction though because it will allow us to push the ball more. As great as he is at times on offense, we are basically forced to run strictly a half court set with him in, and now that Wright and Williams are coming along, it won’t be necessary. Baker should be a situational player vs a bigger slower defender that is playing man. Otherwise he belongs on the bench.
