Rendezvous gets all the media love, and trades heavily in tourist traffic. It's not 'true' barbecue, as the ribs are grilled for an hour, not smoked as traditional BBQ is. Their dry rib 'rub' leans heavily on paparika, from their Greek origins. I'm not hating on them, as I've been there many times. Rather, its the vibe, the alley/basement location, the personality of the wait staff - the total experience that keeps them rolling through the years. This is probably why they have not expanded to other locations as others have done. And kudos to them for maintaining that culture and making it thrive. If you go - get the sausage and cheese plate. It's a great pick!

This I can deal with. Love greek spice mixes. Cavendars and similar, and started making my own homemade.
