They had Ja Morant suspended indefinitely and in a “counseling program” and he was back after eight games. Then you saw the aftermath of that…
We all know that it's not if Draymond does something like this again, it's when. So at least there is some precedent where he knows if he pulls this shite again, it's bye bye for the season and maybe into the next.
Has Ja started playing yet? I haven't even looked.

It's the beginning of the end. The NBA is now looking for opportunities to flex on this problem child. The organization is left with a crumbling empire that looks old and dysfunctional. Steve Kerr has always been nothing more than a traffic cop in the toughest of situations, dating back to Durant.
You can stick a fork in the Warriors.

Draymond has always been a POS. He is mentally unstable and would likely be in prison for violent crime if not for basketball.

I guess he’s going to have to end someone’s career before the NBA really throws the book at him.
Such a joke.

quote:How many suspensions did Laimbeer get in his career ? Laimbeer had a nearly 700 game playing streak ended because of a legit fight. But there was no such thing as a "flagrant foul" until later in Laimbeer's career. It was a rule implemented due to the Pistons , but he mostly played within the existing rules .I'll stand by it. Laimbeer did nothing like what Green is doing with chest stomps, nut kicks, sucker punches, karate chops, choking opponents from behind, etc.....
What Laimbeer did was not part of the game, and were not considered good or hard playoff fouls. Sure there were some sprinkled in there, but overall, what he was doing was the start of Detroits bad boys image
Laimbeer & most other NBA enforcers played at the limits of the NBA rules , but careful not to cross them.

Correction: It was just a basic foul on McHale for the clothesline. No technical, ejections & no such thing as a flagrant foul.

Players not getting suspended for fights was a common practice in the 80's NBA. Hell Larry Bird and Laimbeer both played after fighting in G3 of the 87 ECF. Hell I don't believe Robert Parish wasn't even ejected for beating the shite out of Laimbeer 2 games later.
No Ejections
Ejections w/ no suspensions

The play by McHale was dirty. No Doubt. But IMO it matters when it's a isolated dirty play vs a pattern/reputation.
And there is no need to have a correction. shite like that went down in the NBA back then. But to say what Laimbeer did was just part of the game is a cop out. He was dirty and tried to injure players. That's different than committing a hard foul.
