As with anything, it’s all about how you use it.
It can be a good tool if your kid is just starting to drive and going out with friends.
On the flipside, it can be an absolute nightmare when it’s a parent who has a control issues. When I was working in a HS, I had a parent who absolutely lost her mind when her kid went out of the set perimeter during the school day on the app. She showed up at the school, demanding we find her kid, just really unhinged. Turned out Mom had forgotten her kid had a field trip that day.
