Week by week "Who to Root for"

Okay so I know there's a ton of these threads out there and I apologize if this is redundant. Just thought I'd offer something a little unique here.
The games with the asterisks behind them* denote the games that are necessary to activate the Saints "most likely" path to the playoffs. Keep in mind there are literally about 30 different scenarios but this is just the most likely.
The last thing to remember is that if the Saints finish 10-6 and if Tampa Bay beats Carolina tomorrow night our chances of making the playoffs are pretty darned strong - I'd guestimate about 75%. If Carolina bets Tampa Bay tomorrow I'd guestimate our chances of making the playoffs at 10-6 are only about 35%. I don't know if anybody yet has indicated how freaking HUGE the Tampa/Carolina game is for us. Tampa over Carolina might be the single most important "non-Saints" game for the rest of the way.
Week 14
Tampa Bay over Carolina*
Week 15
New Orleans over Chicago*
Tampa Bay over Atlanta*
Cincinnati over Washington
Denver over Carolina
New York Giants over Dallas
Philadelphia over Cleveland
Week 16
New Orleans over Detroit*
Baltimore over Dallas
Minnesota over Atlanta
New York Giants over Carolina*
Philadelphia over Washington*
Week 17
New Orleans over Carolina*
St. Louis over Atlanta
Dallas v’s Philadelphia (too soon to tell - most likely root for Philly)
San Francisco over Washington

I have a hard time seeing those teams winning those games, except for the few maybes.

well the good news is we don't really NEED any of those to happen.
Every game that we NEED is 50/50 at worst.

If Philly wins out they will be 10-5-1. They would get in over New Orleans(10-6)

Right. We would be the 6th seed, and Philly would be the 5th seed.

The way I see it, the Denver/Car. game in week 15 and the Dallas/Baltimore game in week 16 will be the biggest.

Yeah and depending on who wins the Minnesota at Arizona game, we might rather be the 6th seed than the 5th.
If Minnesota is without Frerotte and the Williams sisters I'd rather play them.
If Frerotte and the Williams sisters are back I'd rather play Arizona in the Desert.

Arizona has a ton of weapons though. Those receivers could eat our secondary for breakfast. I'd rather play Minnesota as a payback game for that Monday Night fiasco.

We want Cleveland to beat Philedelphia.

I think the only game we want Philly to lose would be Cleveland. But even if they win that game, we can ride their coat tails into the playoffs as they knock off our competitors for the 6th seed.

We beat them last year.

has absolutely nothing to do with this season.

This is all a mood point if Carolina does not lose 3 of the next 4. If Tampa wins the South and Carolina wins 2 of 4 games, the seeding will be as follows:
New York
Arizona
Tampa
Minnesota
Carolina
Philly

I don't understand why you are so determined for Philly to win. Especially vs. an AFC team. Can you please explain your rationale behind this?

Dude, what's your problem? Everyone realizes that a lot has to happen for the Saints to make the playoffs.

Wouldnt Philadelphia winning out be bad for us? Wouldnt that put them at 10-5-1 and have us at 10-6 have them in the playoffs over us?
It seems to me that we need the East to beat up on each other and as you said have Tampa win tonight. Carolina has a tougher path to hold than Tampa so we want Tampa to win out.

If Philly wins out they would have knocked out Dallas(provided they lose to NYG) and Washington. And with a Falcon loss to TB and a Panther loss to TB and NYG. The Saints and Eagles go to playoffs.
