Did you miss the part where he defeated a numerically superior Pompey the Great?

Also, to dismiss the Gauls as disorganized tribes is moronic. The Romans feared the Gauls more than any other people to that time. The Gauls managed to sack Rome—the only sacking of the city in 800 years until the crumbling of the West under weak western rulers. Vercingetorix united the Gauls into an impressive force. Caesar’s victory over them made him a superhero to the rest of the Romans
