Ochsner's throws so many numbers out there, it's hard to know exactly. They claim 37,000-38,000 employees, about 8500 RNs, and seemingly ~900 employed MDs. (They fudge the 900 MDs with statements about 4700 employed and "affiliated" MDs) "Affiliated" would include MDs in private practice with hospital privileges at Ochsner.

Perhaps your >50% stat refers additionally to NPs, techs, therapists, etc?

But they carry a huge Admin staff as well. Though it's hard to pin down exact numbers, we know the number is large enough that Ochsner laid off nearly 800 of them last May.
