That's what I was thinking because they kept showing perspectives of planet earth from deep space, the moon, satellites, etc. as if they were trying to say this is coming from beyond our planet.
Still not sure why they would include those shots other than to maintain ambiguity. Would also fit as a better explanation for the strange animal behavior. Animals don't act weird when the "net" goes down.
Plus the movie had a "Nope" vibe to it.
Whatever, thumbs down for me. Just a bit too tedious with no real payoffs and I'm not big on the apocalyptic themed shows and movies anyway even though this one took a more nuanced perspective. Hollyweird is the last group of people you would trust to connect with those circumstances. These people live in a bubble and can't even fetch their own lattes.
