Yep, they might as well have given Jimbo another year or two and waited to find a championship caliber coach.

Where do they keep the championship caliber coaches in stock? Lots of programs have been shopping for those things.
Hiring a coach is just a roll of the dice. Hire the best staff you can, give them the support they need, and hope for the best.
