I went once either my freshman or sophomore year. Bear was coach; it was hot and boring! Defensive game and not much scoring. Of course, that is how we wanted it back then. Stadium held 60000 then and probably there were fewer than 10000 in attendance. I sat on the 50 yard line....

You are exactly right. I am also mad that as usual we let the cheaters off the hook. We had the chance to keep Scam Newton out of a championship and blew it and Michigan is poised to win one now. But more to the point is that this team never became a championship caliber team. Milroe improved ...
Exactly. I was disappointed we couldn't hang on for another minute. But I never thought we really had a championship caliber team. Too many of the same mistakes. No need to mention them. Yes, with two games in a mediocre year, it was possible that we could, but everything had to go right for us...
Yes, was pulling hard for LSU. It appears they have found their new qb. Congrats LSU....
Coaches like male teachers come n 3 broad classes: 1) The exuberant overgrown kid 2) The stern demanding father figure 3) The easygoing kindly grandfather If you do it long enough, you pass through all phases, staying in some longer than others....
The real problem was the 12 game field instead of 8. Then the top 4 seeds play at home, the semis are the two bowl games and then the championship. Also, we finish around Jan 10 as we're supposed to do. But here it is. They wanted to have bowl games at least 4 of them mean something....
Where do they keep the championship caliber coaches in stock? Lots of programs have been shopping for those things.
Agreed, but I don't think the one the Aggies got is going to be one....

Yep, they might as well have given Jimbo another year or two and waited to find a championship caliber coach....

What I don't understand is why some of you think there is a committee if they are just going to take the undefeated teams. Next year, you might as well average the AP Poll and Coaches Poll and put the top 12 in and get rid of the committee....
Because they can. Blessed be the name of the REFS....
We just beat Auburn's worst team in a generation by a miracle. ...
As much as I love Saban, he just doesn't understand Auburn and the Iron Bowl. They practice for this all year round even ignoring the New Mexico State game to practice for us, but we treat it as just another game, and we lose almost every time we go to Auburn as a result....
And now we have Katie, who will never be quoted saying the wrong thing BUT will always vote how Mitch tells her. Pork and banking are her two loves....
The problem with it is that it looks like a dance routine. You can get away with that if you have some pretty girl cheerleaders providing cover. If it is going to be all male, then do something more masculine. Paint your face like warriors, scream and look menacing. Do some real acrobatics!...
Who called the 5 yard penalty on 3rd and 5? Who besides me knew the center would move?...
We have a qb who cannot do play action or throw short passes. That pretty much kills the running game. All that is left are long passes and you just cannot complete enough of those. Every time we get backed up, you just hold your breath he doesn't throw an interception. He's trying not to do tha...

Yes, but there's always November....
