I believe that there are a couple of restaurants and stores in that area of Manhattan that may use delivery trucks though.

praying for the old wealthy people, trust fund kids, and extremely high earners who live in these areas

toilet paper and diet coke just went up $.35 at the bodega

Correct, however a good amount of car and truck traffic cuts through Manhattan westbound in order to avoid tolls since the Holland and Lincoln tunnels collect tolls only in one direction (eastbound). That's not sustainable and screws up traffic.
