Anyone with experience with ultra short throw projectors they'd like to share?

I'm in the process of starting to plan to build a new house and I wanted to ditch the TV in the living room and look at getting a short throw projector setup. I don't want the overhead projector because of possible interference with a ceiling fan and I don't think it looks good in a non theater room.
Anyone have some reviews or buyer's remorse on these?

I got one at my job awhile ago as a replacement for the big screen tv in the board room. Tested it out for a bit on plain walls in our area and was quite impressed. It was an astounding "win" for replacing the TV.
I looked into this again for personal use last year, but didn't want to have deal with a screen in corner of our living room where back ceiling slanted down, and view would have been with tv/screen across the corner of the room. I would definitely do it/plan for it if in your situation with a blank canvas. To note, the one we got for work was a Dell, and I would have gone with the Samsung if i had chosen that route at my house.

Cool if you have a very dark room, or at the least have a retractable screen with a regular tv behind it. If you have windows(like normal people) afternoon college football in September will look pretty arse.
Also beware, all of these are marketed as "4k" despite none of them being 4k.

I've liked mine. The room I was using had issues for putting up a traditional projector and I didn't want to be limited to TV size of 80". I got the Samsung LSP7T at a great price but didn't want to go up to their premium offering.
I've been happy. Use it all the time. There are TVs approaching 100", so if that's your size limitation we may be a few years from going the TV route.

Will let you know here in a few weeks when I get mine in. Just bought one from AWOL Vision a 3500 pro with 150 inch alr screen

BenQ HT2150ST. Have had it over a year and we love it.
Note that it’s not as bright as some others, do if it will be used more during the day in a room with windows then that is a consideration.
We use ours more in the evenings and at night for movies/gaming, so I opted for the better color performance of this one.
