Richie Savoie's NOAV (still there)
Wow, Riche is still around, was the place in Nola to get high end 26" Sony TV's that weighed 2,000 pounds.
I'd salivate over his high end stereo systems but couldn't afford them back then.

In the early 90s I walked into that Sound Trek on Read (behind Wendy's) to buy an Orion Red and the salesmen wouldn't even give me the time of day. I said frick it and left. I ended up buying a Lanzar Optidrive 100 from Tunes on Vets instead. Thanks for taking me back in time.

I loved Circuit City. It was my “go to place” to purchase Aiwa electronics.

It was my go to for CDs as they would have a decent selection at a good price. I would make the trip from Chalmette when I was able to drive fairly regularly.
