Yeah but arguing over the 12th spot has far less power than the 4th. Realistically, LSU or OU probably won't win it all so outside of our respective fanbases, I don't think anyone will care which team gets in.
Where as this year, We have LSU fans going at each others throats over FSU vs Bama.

Next year will undoubtedly be better. It's got at least some objectivity to it.
Win a conference championship and you're in. Come in 2nd in an elite conference, you have at large bids for those teams. 12 is exponentially better.
