frick that. Imm Dom in this sutuation is a bad example. Taking part of his land to help a developer is no good. But developers have politicians in their pocket so it is what happens.

Looks to me like his property value as commercial (not residential) should skyrocket with the development. If he is zoned residential and can’t see anyone opposing a rezoning. Dude took what could be the best thing that ever happened to him and f’d it up.

I’d say it’s more valuable to him now that it’s in a commercial zone. Imminent Domain became bad when the SCOTUS allowed taking by private entities essentially because it was for the public good.
I’m not a fan of that for non public use. The government and others should pay what it’s worth or look elsewhere.
