Not that difficult really. LSU lost more games. VERY simple to decipher.

I think if it came down to a discussion for playoff eligibility, they may have made a different decision. LSU only has one more loss because they played FSU. The head-to-head may have had more weight in that scenario.

Because lsu played a meaningless out of conference game against a top 5 team.
