BAMA was beaten.... BEATEN

But, they weren't and didn't.

Completing 31 yard passes are miracles now. Well, seeing Louisville and FSU play last night, I can understand how one would come to that conclusion.

I simply said that FSU earned it on the field

TIL beating a teen-ranked team with a three score loss to a 3-win team and a beating by a mid SEC team on its resume means an automatic berth in the CFP. Or maybe it was that "miracle" win over a 4-loss team in OT after their kicker missed a chip-shot 29 yard FG that sealed it. Or that "miracle" 2-point win when they were dominated by 100+ yards or that "miracle" one-score win when they were dominated by 100+ yards again. Or that Cam-back performance against 5-7 Florida was the ringer for you?

A team resilient enough to modify offensive gameplay

Or a team resilient enough to modify their gameplay to lift Jalen "Mildew" up to a 12-1 season capped off by beating the 2-time defending NCs on a 29-game winning streak in their own state.

quote:

The ONLY reason they didn't get in last year over TCU was the fact that BAMA was a 2-loss team

So, different circumstances, teams and scenarios altogether so a 1:1 comparison to this year is fruitless. Got it.

quote:

The committee just couldn't justify it the way 2012 was justified.

And, as a result, Bama was rightfully kept out last year. Committee has been on point. What's the problem?

I'm sure your "arguments" sounded really smart in your head.... But you employed, quite frankly, some of the stupidest "reasoning" I've come across and your BAMA bias is definitely exposed. I hope you didn't hurt yourself with the mental gymnastics you used to try to convince yourself of BAMA's worthiness. If you can't accept the astronomical improbability of that win against Auburn, then I can't help you. If the tables were reversed there is no doubt you would magically accept the concept of a "miraculous" win.

To keep FSU out by touting how BAMA is among the "4 best" or "playing at such a high level" after having gotten outplayed by unranked Auburn in the last game of the regular season and barely getting by a hobbled UGA is dishonest. The fact that you choose not to see that is unfortunate , but I guess I should expect no less as that's your team and you need to ease the cognitive dissonance. I get it....

My point is that this should have been an easy decision were it not for the bias that gets shown to certain teams... FSU earned it on the field of play. There has never been an undefeated power 5 conference champ denied. And it shouldn't have happened here. There were 3 such teams this year, and they should have all been in.

The ONLY debate that should have occurred was Texas vs BAMA, but it is curious to me that given the head-to-head, we know how that would have turned out, right? (especially since UT won so convincingly in their conference game). So, it's just funny to me that we all have to now have this debate on how good or bad FSU is or "looks" after losing their QB. Also funny who that logic now favors, right?!?..

No melt here, my friend. What's done is done, but let's not pretend that FSU isn't deserving. Those kids earned their shot. To have it taken away from them like this is dishonest and unconscionable. To have BAMA jump them, but UGA placed below them??? C'mon, man. You're not that stupid or delusional, right?? Then again, I don't know, maybe you are.

Teams were 0 for the last 198 on 3rd and 4th down attempts of 31+ yards.

That’s a .7% chance of success.
