Do we portal an experienced running back if Diggs moves on?

A once crowded and very experienced running back room is starting to thin itself out
Diggs (TBD)
Williams (graduation)
Cain (graduation)
Emery (torn ACL/maybe out of eligibility?)
Bradford (transferring)
Goodwin (transferring)
That leaves Jackson and Holly with Caden Durham coming in the recruiting class. That's a total of 39 carries. That could leave us with a new starter at QB, new starters at WR and new starters at RB. I like Jackson and Holly but given all the offensive inexperience, I really hope Diggs decides to return and if not, it might be useful to portal in an experienced RB.

Diggs is a good back, he hasnt done enough to warrant being drafted.

Agreed. And he could play a much bigger role next year without Jaydens legs as our running game. Really think Nuss is going to need a strong running game to lean on.

Does he? I did try to verify but eligibility is always a bit murky in the covid era. He announced he was returning after last season and played this year as a graduate. So I assumed he was done.

No. Let's not waste precious 85 man scholarships on a 56th RB when we have extreme talent already.
Jackson, Holly, and Durham is an elite group with speed to burn.
And I saw somebody bring up Etienne also. The kid didn't want to come here out of high school because of how LSU did his brother. You think that's going to change?

Bradford is gone. Diggs already has a degree., he’s likely gone.

3 RB's is not enough in the SEC. Etienne would be incredible, but i believe his family moved to Florida so not sure if we are in the picture.
