That’s not what he said.

He said kids are committed shouldn’t be visiting other schools.

Don’t commit if you want to keep visiting other places.

Its a long practice that kids committing to popular schools, opens things up for them...other often uninterested schools hop in...often a bump in their rating, etc....they have long played the recruiting game. Colorado was a flavor of the month, committing got them some notoriety, maybe bargaining power...look at me hype.

Does the same rule apply to him and his commitment to the university? So he shouldn’t be taking visits for job openings then

Yep, and if that’s how he feels he has to communicate that to the recruit. Let them know if they commit they can’t visit other schools. It won’t go over well for some but if that’s his policy either stand by it or change it.

Or as a coach don't consider a player committed until he signs.

Fickell has said he doesn't consider players committed if they are taking other visits no matter what the recruit says.
