Several years ago I recovered the seats on our pontoon boat. Had a local shop do all the couch cushions and it was almost $1,000, it was cheaper to just replace the four fishing chairs with new ones as he wanted 350 per chair to recover them. 3 years later, the couch cushion still look almost new but the fishing chairs are discolored with mildew because the upholstery shop obviously used a higher quality Marine vinyl, so you get what you pay for. When my 22 ft Pathfinder needed new upholstery, I contacted the upholstery shop in Florida that is across the street from the factory and does their seat repairs. Sent her my hull ID number and for $1,000 she sent me OEM Pathfinder seat skins that I had put on. That boat sleeps inside and 5 years later those seats still look brand new. Again, you get what you pay for
