First…these days it’s not nearly as rare as it used to be. Caleb and JD could easily be the 1st 2 off the board in the draft.

Second…you may be under the impression I don’t like Nuss. I think Nuss is good enough to help us win the SEC. But we need a very good to great defense at least..whereas I think we only needed a barely average defense for JD to lead us to an SEC title.

So your argument that it's not as rare as it used to be is to name possibly the last two Heisman winners?

There were only 8 quarterbacks in the Power 5 (69 teams, nice) that had over 500 yards rushing in 2023. About half of those played on horrible teams and were just running for their lives and would not really be considered true dual threat QBs. I don't think I would want any of them at LSU.

It's pretty rare.
