It's like calling a spade a spade is a 4 letter word to people who think we're dealing with amateur student athletes. Because they certainly aren't anymore. Just let the schools pay athletes directly as employees of the school instead of dealing with the complexities and ridiculousness of NIL, collectives, and transfer portals. If the market says a college player is worth $10 million dollars, that's fine. Just sign them to a 4 year employment contract for 10 million dollars. Contract employment exists in all areas of business, including sports and entertainment.
