Presumably you have confirmed the lil ice chute door is actually closing/sealing all the way. I'd look next at the underside where the water and ice dispense. You may be able to observe if there is leakage at the water dispenser hose. Check also the bottom of the main door to see if there is water accumulated/trapped/leaking there. That could indicate the leak is inside of the dispenser mechanism.
I would speculate it is a water leak, though, and not ice melting. Maybe condensation, but you'd already have figured that out I'm sure.

I have noticed ice drip (melt) one drop at a time with the door open so I know that is not the main issue. accumulated crushed ice inside the chute used to drip past the flap and i'd notice water inside the drip pan.
This seems to be accumulating underneath the drip pain, and builds up enough to drip down the front of the fridge. I do not suspect a water leak.
Im wondering if there is a product or another solution to seal that off if it is condensation. the silicone idea did not work.
