I don't think he had a choice. They no longer have the billions of dollars at Penn backing them so if a major production doesn't break even it hurts the company majorly.
He was relying on the Youtube revenue sharing and without it, he has to make up the money somehow.
It also really shows how much people try to make Barstool the bad guy. Me and 2 other posters were in this thread discussing the show until they put it behind a paywall and now all you bozos are in here butt hurt about something you didn't care to discuss in the first place.
