My dad died a few months shy of 65. I will be 44 on Thursday and I think about that a lot. I never understood what a midlife crisis was until recently.

Saved and worked my arse off to retire with enough to live very well and travel

Preach brother. My dad is still kicking at almost 74 but is on the way out. But ince you hit mid 40’s you start realizing that there is only so many good years left and they are flying by.

I’m in the same boat.

After I turned 40 I also saw “over the hill” for what it really means. I can “literally” see my own death now in a way I just couldn’t see it before I passed 40.
