It's not 1/3 of the game though.

LSU ran approx 800 snaps on both offense and defense this season.


There were about 180 snaps on special teams.


You do the math. If you aren't losing games because of it, you are fine.

Losing Bramblett will hurt…he was solid for sure.

So, if we had come back last year and beat Florida St in the opener on some freak play, special teams would've been considered fine?

Taking that flawed logic to the next level, we didn't lose the Arkansas or Missouri games this year. Does that mean the defense was fine?

If something is below average (much less broken), you dont wait to lose a game to fix it. Or God forbid, we try to make it a unit that wins the occasional game for us.
