I agree. I know people hate seeing Clayton constantly fair catching, but it seems like we do a poor job of giving him any room to move in the first place. And it’s not like he’s been a dynamic returner, where teams might want to kick it high to keep him from breaking anything.

If course we rarely get 3 & outs so some of that might be field position. I would be curious to see our opponents’ average field position when punting compared to FBS. If your opponent is always punting from the 50 yard line that’s going to make it harder to have a good return game.
