Scar, Florida, and A&M recruiting

All three teams have better defensive recruits than us and are sucking wind. BK needs to throw some cash around if we want a real shot at the natty in the next two years

You going drop about $150k to help out with a couple kids?

It's getting kind of frustrating when everyone thinks the answer is just throw more money.
Of course money matters in this NIL era, but you've still gotta get kids bought in on either the program or how they'll be developed while there.
We're clearly not building the relationships or convincing these kids we can prepare them for the next level better than other schools.
Maybe because they can tell Matt House is really Simple Jack in disguise.

I’m sure Billy’s doing a great job of showing that

You laugh, but that staff at 5-7 is somehow convincing recruits to buy in better than we can at 9-3.
Relationships matter and it seems like House would charm the pants back on a prostitute.

You're not going to get anywhere getting a bunch of kids that are playing for you simply because you were the highest bidder.

This narrative is getting bullshite. You people really think we don’t have $? Point remains that other coaches are selling better. Defensive coaches need to be pushed out the door for their inability to coach and recruit. You think florida fans are just sending 150k checks to pay for their recruits?

LSU is throwing out just as much cash as anyone. Stop this nonsense.

You claimed in another thread that you were a big NIL donor compared to all us "broke dicks" so please share how much NIL you donate. I assume it's zero and you just like to spend other people's money.
Are you dumb? I support taf and our university. Does that make me spend others money? Stfu.
you claim to hate NIL, so I get off the recruiting board. That is what recruiting is now. A&M has one of the worst player development programs in the sec but lands big time recruits because of money. It’s simple.

You will have to pry this mouse from my cold, dead hands.
And supporting TAF and the University is not NIL. So you are full of shite.
I support TAF and the University as well and I am also a season ticket holder. I would never give a penny directly for NIL use.
So your support for NIL is just emotional, not financial? That will help us land some players for sure. They will be glad to know that r0cky1 supports them in spirit.

They don’t have the money.

Is offensive recruiting an issue right now? No. It’s not. Why do you think that is?
Why do you think defensive recruiting IS a problem? The answer is really fricking simple here. And guess what- money isn’t it.
You talk about A&M- they have one of the highest rated defenses in the country. They have a very good defensive staff and their front 7 is probably the best we played this season. They have several highly rated players who will be getting drafted this year and next. I don’t know what the hell you are talking about with “no development.” The money seals the deal, but you have to have a competent staff to get in the fricking door.
As for money, we are now reportedly the front runner to sign Bryce Underwood, a #1 ranked QB. I highly doubt we are making the highest offer to him, but just the MINIMUM for a QB on that tier is 7 figures. We aren’t in the top 10-15 for him without that kind of commitment up front. That’s more than most of you mouth-breathers believe we’ll pay an entire class, but here we are.
So what’s the difference- the money in conjunction with our offensive staff. They’ve proven what they can do. You have to have both.
It’s insane to me that this kind of context doesn’t exist when people here throw their tantrums over recruiting. Fix the defensive staff and you fix defensive recruiting.

Cram it and your small hands. Guys like you don’t go to a single game let alone even graduated from LSU. You should stop watching college football if you hate NIL. Sorry I didn’t include bayou traditions. You’re more so focused on this than what LSU needs to do to succeed. Paying players in the sec has been going on long before NIL.

yeah A&M is really selling kids on development.
SCar and Florida are pumping out NFL ready pros.

These guys really don’t get it. You either adapt or die. A&M has a championship caliber defense, they’ve just squandered the talent.
We could barely stop Georgia state for fricks sake until we wore them out because we have more depth. We can’t keep relying on the portal

If you two think the defensive staff in its current state has nothing to do with the difference in quality between our offensive and defensive recruiting classes today, then you have no fricking clue.
Stop ranting and crying and answer this question- is offensive recruiting currently a problem for LSU?

Am I complaining about the offensive recruiting? It is not my fault you cannot read. I specifically said defensive recruits.
House is a joke and needs to be canned. That does not mean our players are bad too, or our defensive recruits are lowly graded this year.

No, I just wanted you to admit this isn’t a problem across the board. At least you will do that, which is more than can be said about most of the people who rant about recruiting here.
We don’t just have NIL available for offense and not defense. Earlier you were ranting about not spending enough NIL money to beat out teams that all have more stable defensive staffs and fielded better defenses than we did this year. You may not like hearing that, but even UF’s defense rated better than ours this year. And by the way, as they have also struggled this season, they have begun losing defensive recruits to flips. See how that works.
Now here you are in this post talking about the defensive staff, which IS the real problem with this particular defensive class. It’s not NIL. People will leave one team’s bag for another if it benefits them. Either way, they want stability and to believe they will be set up for the next level.
Offensive recruits clearly see that here today and defensive ones don’t. And there’s no magic wand. This class is closing. A new staff won’t fix this class. It will address the portal and then next year and beyond. No amount of ranting here will change that reality.

Unless you have a discrete and reliable money laundering outfit at your disposal, that’s impossible. You do understand that right? Coaches, staff and schools are not allowed to contribute to their own collectives.
