There was a restaurant at the top of the Marriott on Canal, not sure if it’s still there but back in the decade of the 1980s when i was a little kid we’d have big get togethers up there for their Sunday Jazz Brunch.. we’d arrive at like 10:30 am and stay til 2 or 3pm, just grazing the whole time while a jazz band roamed around and waiters kept the grownups’ glasses full of mimosas…. The view was spectacular, and even though im now in my 40s- it was still one of the best dining experiences ive ever had….. Hyatt had a similar place called Top of the Dome that spun around, but i dont rememeber the food being quite as good .
