The best player in the country has his team fighting for a CFP spot, not a Houston Bowl berth. Most people from Louisiana likely think JD is a Heisman contender because their ceiling is playing at 11am for some late December bowl game. Meanwhile legitimate title and Heisman contenders (i.e. Georgia, Bo Nix, Michigan, etc.) are playing prime time games and putting on highlight reel demonstrations. It’s okay if the apex of your program is winning the Tony Chachere’s Personal Injury Bowl, but other big boy programs have to actually show the rest of the country what real college football is about.

I thought the Heisman goes to college football's best player? If you think it's Nix, then you don't know football. This isn't difficult.

Guess it is difficult since yall clearly still don't get it.

Eh, usually goes to best season. Which, I guess it should, best is subjective and if Caleb Williams is going #1 how is he still not the best?

That said, Heisman goes with flavor of the year...and Nix will get love for Oregon's season...

...but it's really Penix and Daniels because they aren't giving the Heisman again to the reigning winner who lost half his games despite the fact USC's defense statistically makes LSU's look like Georgia.
