According to Chicken, Tenuta has benn interviewed

If true, then why didn't Les hire him last year?

Les did hire him...to be the DC at Michigan.

That is why he didn't get the LSU job, the leak IMHO.

He felt Mallorveto knew the system better and it would be a seamless transition from Pelini to the two-headed monster.

Les did not contact or interview Tenuta last year, contrary to Herbie and rumors on this board.

Tenuta has a reputation as a backstabber. Les did not want him because he felt that his abrasive personality might affect the team's chemistry. However, at this point SOMEONE on the coaching staff will need to develop an abrasive personality, or we are going to continue losing.

I am fricking thrilled that he is in the mix just wondering why it took Les a year to do it

Best case would be Tenuta with Coach O

I like him. I liked him last year. I think he could do wonders down here in Tiger land. Lets get some stats going.

It is kind of suspicious, though, that despite his reputation he did not get picked up by anyone, other than as a position coach at ND. Still, I'd gladly take him at this point.

If you want an agressive, hard hitting defense that will blitz from anywhere, Tenura is your man

Tenuta would be the best choice.

I'm glad his name is in the mix now.

I realize this was against the worst ND team ever, but look at all the blitzing.

notice the pressure the DL gets...blitzes are more effective when the QB is already scrambling for his life (not to mention none of the WRs break off their routes)
