JFK had many enemies.
He pissed of the white supremacists that year by embarrassing Gov. George Wallace and was going to get a civil rights bill passed that LBJ championed the next year to make himself look good.
He pissed of the USSR by embarrassing Krushchev with the Cuban Missile crises.
He double crossed the Mob.
He betrayed Castrol when he hung him out to dry in the Bay of Pigs.
Slept with Marilyn Monroe.

JFK and Khrushchev communicated secretly for a couple of years prior to the Cuban Missile Crisis. Their mutual respect for one another and trust is what saved millions from being annihilated. Their own governments despised their leaders for this.

Bay of Pigs was a CIA-led trap so actually the CIA, on several occasions, hung JFK out to dry prior to assassinating him.
